Reverend Thomas T. Davis, Jr. is the Senior Pastor of Riceville Mount Olive Baptist Church in vibrant SW Houston, Texas. Pastor Davis fervently believes in embodying the essence of spiritual leadership: preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, imparting Bible-based teachings, setting a daily example of Christian leadership, and offering compassionate pastoral care to the Riceville congregation. His leadership philosophy is encapsulated in the church’s motto: “The Church that Loves, Learns, and Prays” Acts 2:42.
Pastor Davis was licensed to preach in 2001 and ordained in 2010. He began his ministerial leadership by serving as the Youth Pastor at the New Ebenezer Baptist Church in Jackson, MS under the leadership of Reverend Dan Day, Jr. He was later called to pastor the Pilgrim Baptist Church in Jackson, MS. Upon relocating to Houston, TX, he joined Lilly Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he served as an Associate Minister under the pastorship of Reverend Terry K. Anderson. While serving at Lilly Grove, he led missionary work with the Haiti Outreach Ministry.
Pastor Davis holds a Bachelor’s in Architecture from Southern University A&M College and a Master’s in Theological Studies from Houston Baptist University. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at Clamp Divinity School at Anderson University, he remains dedicated to expanding his knowledge and enriching his ministry. Pastor Davis is a member of Theta Alpha Kappa (The National Honor Society for Religious Studies and Theology) and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.
Pastor Davis has been married to his sweetheart, Rashunda Brianne Davis for over two decades. She is an educator within the Fort Bend Independent School District. They are the proud parents of three sons: Thomas, III, Joshua and Ashton.
